I may overshare. I’m aware of the position I may find myself, as a result. Doing so, brings me immeasurable positives and it leaves a rope for another cosmic voyager to latch onto. And may we find each other, to bare our souls as we share a familiar journey. For a moment in time, the positives become pragmatic. Unequivocally, outweighing any negative byproducts as a result. Details… The devil is in the details. We are nowhere near perfect. Yet, we strive. While I feel more knowledge enhances the experience, there are undoubtedly precarious outcomes. Both positive and negative. Never underestimate the potential for the negative ramifications of even the most well-intentioned plans.

Communication is never one-hundred percent transparent. I paint myself with broad strokes. Leaving the finer brushes holstered. I care deeply how others see me. Do they value my character? Work ethic? My output and inclusiveness? In that sense, I voice certain ideas, but more importantly, withhold certain thoughts in hopes to be viewed in a particular light. We are our own PR team.

They were all me. The present and future me. Each light seemed to represent different influential people in my life. There was my main shadow which was at the center where they all converged. The self. But the other outer ones were potentially me, as well, depending on how I acted when presented with a certain scenario or a decision to be made. How would I act?

Whew! This book is filled with hard-to-swallow pills. Any team consisting of determined members can fall prey to poor leadership. Leaders who don’t practice extreme ownership and pass the blame are a virus. A leader must build a team of individuals that compliment each other…

Which is why removing steps from accomplishing a desired habit is so crucial. Though, we also need to keep in mind that what is easy for us now, is not good for us later. But, what is hard for us now is immensely beneficial to us later.

The goal is just to cast more votes for the type of person you want to be. We will ultimately make a less than stellar choice, but…

4. Compare Yourself To Who You Were, Yesterday

If you look at others to justify your value, you will never feel fulfilled. Those wells run dry pretty damn quick. Just look to be better than you were the previous day. That’s an attainable goal.
